RAVING

Back Home Up Next

It has come to my attention that the Tao and Zen of our website is imbalance. This is due to the existence of the ranting page and no raving page to balance things yin-yang wise...So here goes...

bulletMore heroes: The men and women of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on the morning of 9.11.2001. They knew their fate and decided to take a stand. They saved the lives of many people even though they had to sacrifice their own. Their courage and "balls" must not be forgotten.

bulletMy Heroes: Elmo Badano, my grandfather. My grandfather always wanted to get me interested in sports, I never really was interested so he also indulged my interest in the sciences. Come Christmas or my birthday, I would always get some combination of presents like a basketball and a chemistry set, or an electronics kit and a baseball bat. He taught me how to grow things in the garden, how to make wine and how to finish whatever I start. He was always there for me after my dad passed away. Another hero in my life was Dante Tochinni, my grandmother's brother. (My granduncle?) He had polio when he was young, he could hardly talk or walk but he was a brilliant man. He had the patience and skill to fix clocks and watches, and to teach a very young boy (me) about chemistry, electricity and how to solder. Knowledge I still use to this day.

bulletWhat a cool world we live in. Star Trek stuff is coming true, Ro and I both have personal wireless communicators and handheld computers.

bulletCheers  to Slick Willy Clinton and the Military for turning off the selective availability for the GPS satellite system. I makes my GPS receiver much more accurate.

bulletThree cheers for the CPUC Judge that declared a moratorium on overlaid area codes and 11 digit local dialing.

bulletRo sings lead on some songs in a CD entitled Time Capsule by Kanned Lamb. She sounds great and so does everyone else that helped produce this work of art.

bulletI am so lucky to be married to Ro. She is the love of my life. She can be a classy, high-society type one minute and the next she's working in the dirt in the garden or up in the attic running wires or insulating.

Azaleas! I love plants and stuff. It warms my heart even more to watch Ro in the garden.
