Bathroom Day 10

Back Home Up Next

12/28/99: WE ARE SO TIRED! Today's projects... one more trip to the depot. We ordered our black toilet (American Standard Cadet) and got some sheet-metal so we can install the heater vent in the wall rather than in the floor where water seeps in and rots sub floor. I had to make the duct out of various pieces-parts to get it to fit into it's new position. Then we had to modify the framing in the wall to accommodate the vent. Ro pulled a cup of nails and staples (a cup of nails in a 4 square foot area seems like too many to me) out of the last bit of sub floor that needs to be replaced. The floor is finally cleared of rotten wood! I installed more blocking to hold up the new floor and Ro crawled under the house to connect the new duct to the old duct. We actually used duct tape for it's intended purpose. The new floor should go in sometime tomorrow for sure!

She looks so happy... not.

Here's another shot of the framing
project for today.
