Bathroom Day 15

Back Home Up Next

1/2/00: The last full-time day we can work on the bathroom. We both have to go back to our regular jobs tomorrow. Finally a rest! Anyway, the projects for today included yet another run to the depot. This time we picked up our linoleum, vinyl wallpaper, paint, a no-hub coupling for the sink, and some more sheetrock. I tried to remove the drain pipe today and gave up on that. It was rusted in way to deep. Plan B worked out OK, the no-hub couling to the rescue. The old p-trap I was trying to save was filled with spackle anyway. (Mr Spackle strikes again!) We also set the shower pan in place, leveled and shimmed it, then connected the drain pipe. Ro picked lemons,  vacuumed, helped carry and hold stuff and then spackled, taped and patched the walls. She's an excellent helper.
