2/9/00 - 2/26/00

2/9/00 - 2/13/00: It's just a matter  waiting now. The shower door and sides are still at least a week away from being installed. I ordered the new door to the bathroom on Saturday, it should be ready to pick up on Tuesday. The new door has an oak veneer skin and will be pre-hung on an oak jamb. Were are going to stain the bedroom side of the door a dark walnut color to match the bedroom decor and the bathroom side of the door will have a clear finish to match the bathroom decor. Ro is looking at paint color possibilities for the bedroom now.

2/14/00 - 2/20/00: I picked up the new door on Tuesday, it is a gorgeous chunk-o-wood. I  installed the door jamb and the casing on the bathroom side. I also removed the door and took it to the garage for finishing. The bedroom side is stained with a mixture of "Special Walnut" and "Old American Walnut", the bathroom side is not stained. Both sides are covered with at least four coats of "Varathane Diamond Finish" clear varnish. Ro has decided to paint the bedroom since we can't have that pretty new door in an ugly old room. So we now have our bed in the living room.

2/21/00 - 2/26/00: Ro finished painting the bedroom and I finished preparing and installing the new door. We moved the bed from the living room back to the bedroom and hung the pictures on the nice new freshly painted walls. Most of the bathroom stuff has been moved and sorted into their new homes in the vanity, medicine cabinet and closet. We aren't finished yet since we have to wait for the glass guys to install the shower door and walls. They won't be here until 3/3/00. So the bathroom project is not finished yet, but reallly close!
