Bathroom Day 8

Back Home Up Next

12/26/99: Today was a day for resting, eating leftovers and shopping.  Last night I mentioned that it might be nice to have a nailer. Ro was all for it! She said "I think you should get one, maybe we can get one tomorrow" (!) I am blessed with such a wonderful wife, how many wives would actually encourage their husbands to buy a nail gun! I went to the depot this morning to pick up even more lumber and looked to see if the nailer I wanted was in stock, it wasn't. Then, Ro and I  took a "Sunday Drive" to three of the Home Depots in the valley looking for a Paslode Cordless Framing Nailer. We finally found one at the depot on Capitol Expressway. That was after the idiot on the phone said they had them in stock at the Campbell store. When we got there, they didn't have any. We also picked up some fuel cells and nails for the nailer, then looked at shower doors and toilets. Late update: Ro got an afternoon burst of energy. She is pulling up more of the floor in the closet. I have been practicing with the new nail gun. It's light and powerful. The exhaust is a little smelly. Overall... I LIKE IT! I need to get some ear protection though... POW! It's loud.

Ro finished the removal
of the layers of flooring in the
closet. More staining and a
tiny bit of rot in the corner.
