This year's home improvement project is the conversion of our living room into a home theater.  We are going to panel one wall in oak and then put up a full wall of adjustable shelves. This was all inspired by the purchase of a DVD player. This made our nice Nakamichi Pro-Logic receiver obsolete. The new receiver is a Pioneer Digital Theater Sound System. It has 100 Watts per channel,  5.1 surround. The room will have built in wiring for speakers: front R&L, rear R&L, Center and Subwoofie. Since I have to go into the attic anyway, I might as well run the wires for speakers on the patio, and a LAN connection to the kitchen too.

Ro is going to pick out sconce lights, ceiling fan and dark velour curtains for a real theater effect. As always, Ro is in charge of painting, and being my best helper.
