Here's a home improvement project we did for our neighbors. A bar for their patio. Almost all of it was built from scrap-wood and 2x4's.
The top is 1.5" thick oak plywood with a 1/8" thick layer of two-part acrylic 'varnish.' The well is solid oak and the workspace is covered in Formica.
There are two convenience outlets and a lamp over the workspace with a switch for the lamp and of course a MAIN switch. Gotta have the main.
